Community Picnic & Concert

Join the Exeter 250 Celebration Commission for a Community Picnic on Thursday, July 9th from 5 to 8 PM in Swasey Parkway. 

Bring your own and/or obtain picnic goods from the Farmers’ Market and downtown merchants. Sponsored by Exeter 250CC and Exeter Parks and Recreation Department. Child activities. Ice cream and patriotic giveaways. More info coming soon! 

Listen to a free concert at the Swasey Pavilion starting at 6 PM. 

July 9th Events

• Farmers Market 2:30 – 6pm operated by Seacoast Eat Local. Offering local produce, products, meat, seafood, eggs, honey, maple syrup, baked goods, hot prepared food, crafts, and body care products and entertainment.
• Beginning at 5:30pm: Storyteller: Main Street School Librarian Maureen Kiesel, Exeter Parks and Recreation Yard Games, Facepainting, Costumed Characters, Patriotic Giveaways, and a Raffle Basket. Exeter Area GFWC distribution of new children’s coloring book focused on Exeter.
• Food and Ice cream offerings: Lexies Food truck selling Hamburgers, Memories Ice Cream Truck, offering $2.50 ice cream cones SPECIAL 250 FLAVOR. $5 sundaes. Squamscott Soda special 250 commemorative bottles, Root Beer and Ginger Ale. $2.50.
• Concert 6 -8 pm: Sponsored by Exeter Parks and Recreation Department Featuring “Club Soda Band.” Including a community singalong: “This Land is your Land.”
