Town Ordinances

Town Ordinances are key governing documents of the Town.  They set forth rules, regulations, and penalties for violation of many areas of operations.  The ordinances are generally promulgated by the Select Board after holding public hearings.  The zoning ordinance is the responsibility of the planning board, and amendments are put forward each year for consideration by Town voters.

Questions about Town Ordinances may be directed to the the administrative department in charge of the ordinance.  Questions about adoption of Town Ordinances can be directed to the Town Clerk's Office, Town Manager, or Select Board.
