HVAC & Plumbing Maintenance Technician

Position:  HVAC & Plumbing Maintenance Technician      

Pay Range:  $22.43 - $29.43/hour (12 step wage scale) plus excellent benefits

Requirements: The Town of Exeter is currently seeking a full time HVAC & Plumbing Maintenance Technician.  Under the general direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for providing plumbing and heating systems support for all Town owned buildings, grounds, and equipment. Support various construction functions within the Public Works Department.  Maintains HVAC systems in the Town buildings, including boilers, furnaces, and air conditioners.  Repairs, replaces parts, and conducts general overhaul and cleaning of all units.  Maintains all plumbing fixtures and water sources to the Town buildings.  Provides technical support for contracted changes or improvements.

Qualifications: Duties require knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equivalent to completion of an Associate’s Degree and/or one to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Apprentice, Journeymen, or Master Plumber license preferred. Gas Pipe Fitters License, Service and Install, and EPA 608 Certification preferred.
