Drug Takeback Day

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During this time, members of the public can stop by the Exeter Police Department to safely dispose of expired, unwanted or unused prescription drugs or other medications, which are often stored at home and could become susceptible to abuse and theft.

This is a national campaign launched by the Drug Enforcement Administration that allows for these drugs to be handed over to law enforcement officers for proper destruction. We are one of nearly 5,000 collection sites around the country that participate in the campaign, which has collected more than 17 million pounds of drugs since it began in 2010.

PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT be accepting liquids, needles or injectables. Any other type of medication is accepted (controlled, non-controlled, or over the counter).
