Commemorative America 250 Print Revealed in Exeter, NH

Exeter, NH - May 14th, 2026: To celebrate 250 years of independence in Exeter, NH, the 250 Celebration Commission tasked local print maker Sarah Koff to put ink to paper, telling the story of Exeter since the nation's founding.

In the artist's own words, "this poster honors Exeter through the eyes of its lifeblood: the Squamscott River. This tidal river flows through town, into the Great Bay Estuary, and ultimately into the ocean--and is the reason why Exeter was established here in the first place. This piece illustrates our town's transformation through time, beginning with the native Abenaki settlements and ending with our modern-day skyline."

Only 54 handmade prints were created making each bit of ink that much more special. Prints can be purchased for $76 in a nod to 1776 at America 250 events and at A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words while supplies last. Poster copies of the prints will also be available.
