Sustainable Seasons Community Film Series

Thought Provoking films | Hands-on actions

Join us for a new film series, Sustainable Seasons. This four event program weaves together compelling movies and real-life actions, inspiring our town to make a positive impact. Each season presents a different sustainability problem with a small scale solution.  Engage with thought-provoking films, then step into action with hands-on initiatives – a clothing recycling drive, rain barrel distribution, custom reusable bags, and compost bins. Sustainable Seasons aims not just to educate but to empower, creating a community-driven movement towards a greener, more sustainable future.

Through partnership with PEA student Andrew Voulgarelis will kick off the Sustainable Seasons Community Film Series on Saturday February 24th 5:45-7:30 pm (doors open at 5:30) .  The event will be at the Forum in Elizabeth Phillips Academy Center at 22 Tan Lane.  Parking is available on Tan Lane or in the Tan Lane (Lower J. Smith) parking lot.

Winter Film Series:  Threads of Change

What is fast fashion?  How can we change the impact?

  • FILM:  Alex James:  Slowing Down Fast Fashion
  • ACTION: Bring in clean, dry and oderless textiles for Helpsy to recycle.  If you can wear it, sleep in it, or dry off with it, Helpsy can recycle it!
