2026 CO-ED Basketball Grades 1 & 2 Program

PROGRAM: A youth basketball program for students in grades 1 & 2. This program is designed to allow the students an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game of basketball with a 5 on 5 format. We encourage them to enjoy themselves and make new friends. This program does not stress competition but rather, fundamentals of basketball, recreation, and good sportsmanship.

GRADE: Participants must be in 1st or 2nd grade by the start of 2025-2026 school year.

REGISTRATION: Registration is open to students of Exeter and surrounding towns, on a first-come, first-served basis, starting on TUESDAY, September 8, 2025. Registrations accepted at the recreation office during our business hours, on-line, mail or by phone. Payment is required at the time of registration! Fee increases on November 22, 2025.

The Exeter Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to limit registration and participation in any program. Exeter Parks & Recreation also reserves the right to effect other changes in the program, including but not limited to date and time changes, registration limits, and others, as may be required.

PRACTICE/GAMES: Practices begin January 5, 2026. One practice will be held Monday-Thursday evenings at 6:00 or 7:00 pm which is when the gymnasium is available for our use. Coaches determine their teams practice night/time. Games are held Saturday’s starting January 11, 2026. Game times depend on number of teams in other programs, but typically start between 10:00am-1:00pm.

LOCATION: The program including games and practices will be held at Main Street School, Exeter.

FEE: The cost of this program includes a jersey for each participant. Please make your check payable to: E.P.R.D. Visa & MasterCard accepted. There will be a $10.00 fee charged for each returned check.
