Shaping the Future of Exeter's Train Station

Our train station is an important part of daily life in Exeter, and it has the potential to do even more for our community. It should be safe, welcoming, and easy to use for everyone who depends on it.

Join the conversation. Be part of the vision.

This summer, the community will come together for a Plan NH charrette, a hands-on planning process, where residents, businesses, and local leaders work together to share ideas and shape a plan for the Lincoln Street and station area.

August 7th & 8th Plan NH Charrette - Share YOUR thoughts on the future of Exeter's Train Station

Join your neighbors for a community planning event focused on the future train station. This is an opportunity for residents, businesses, commuters, families, students, and community members of all backgrounds to share ideas and priorities.

The train station will influence how people travel, move through downtown, support local businesses, and experience our community for years to come. Decisions made now can affect traffic, safety, convenience, economic growth, accessibility, and the overall character of the area.

You do not need any special knowledge or experience to participate. What matters most is your perspective and how the station could impact your daily life, your family, your business, or the future of the community.

Topics may include:

  • Safety and accessibility
  • Traffic and parking
  • Walking and biking access
  • Waiting areas and public spaces
  • Local business and economic impact
  • Community character and appearance

The best community projects happen when many different voices are part of the conversation. Your input can help shape a train station that works for the entire community — not just today, but for future generations.
