Date: October 4, 2025 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration and the brief survey are REQUIRED. Registration link will be updated closer to the event date.
Price: $15 (as of 2024) - to help offset disposal costs
- Preregistration is required. (30 minute time slots)
- Survey must be completed before registering.
- One ticket per household, however you may carpool with other households.
- Please arrive during your 30 minute registered time slot to minimize delay.
- Please adhere to waste limits and eligible types of waste.
Volunteers collecting materials will be wearing protective gear.
Once a year Rockingham Planning hosts a Hazardous Waste Day at the Public Works Department. This provides an opportunity for residents of local communities (East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Stratham, Newfields, Seabrook & South Hampton) to dispose of hazardous waste they have accumulated over the year. There is a 10-gallon or equivalent limit per household.

Protecting Our Drinking Water: Proper Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste
Water supply sources are vulnerable to contamination from the improper use, handling, and disposal of common household hazardous materials. We all must take steps to protect our source water areas by disposing of these materials safely.
To support this effort, many New Hampshire municipalities, with funding from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES), organize Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days. These events offer residents a safe way to dispose of harmful substances and help ensure the safety of our water supply.
