Unitil Gas Safety

A message from Unitil Gas - In the days following the gas event in the Merrimack Valley, Unitil has received inquiries from some customers as well as municipal officials asking questions about Unitil’s gas safety practices and whether there was any impact to Unitil’s infrastructure as a result of what occurred in the Merrimack Valley. 

While the affected area is not part of the Unitil system and our technicians have confirmed that all equipment is operating safely and normally, we understand their concerns and have done our best to answer these questions. As part of that effort, we created a fact sheet (attached below) to aid in answering any questions others may receive about our system.
